Tom Kelley

German designer and architect Tom Kelley was born in east Germany in 1951. After more than 2 years spent in prison for political reasons, he was liberated by the West German government. He studied in Aachen, Munich and Long Beach in California. After collaborating with a bed furniture company, he opened his own studio in Munich and later on a branch in Venice, as he wanted to be closer to his Italian clients. He focuses mostly on chairs, trade fair stands and houses.
